Neo Gaga

It's been awhile since I've put anything of substance up here. My muses ran off and left their lyres sitting on the floor expecting me to play them. Damn muses. So I decided to do something I haven't done in a long time. It's celebrity time (yay!). So I was sitting in class trying to think of a thesis topic, which, btw, was not coming to me, and I began to think of how whack celebrities are dressing these day. I know, random.........

1.) To start off any list in this category with, of course, would be Lady Gaga. Duh.

Who else can dress up as a Slim Jim and turn around and wind up wearing the whole cow and call it high fashion?

2.) In close second, but no cigar is Cher.

She was Gaga before Gaga was Gaga (or went Gaga), only wearing normal clothes on her off days.

3.) Of course you can't forget one of the biggest hypocrites alive. Yep, Perez Hilton.

There are no words to describe this.

4.) And now we move on to the wannabe Adam Lambert.

Ummm... the Boy George look went out in the 80s. Leave it there!

5.) This list wouldn't be complete without the Queen of all drag queens, Grace Jones.

All of your noms are belong to him/her. All the guys in the room, RUN!

Welcome to Walmart, Get You *&%@ and Get Out!

For once I don't have something random to post just something I wanted to share.

We all have stories from when we go to Walmart from wanting to punch somebody because they were being extremely rude to going and getting delicious cake because we got the drunken munchies. Yeah, we all have all experienced the "joys" that Walmart has to offer. But when have you ever heard of someone having something good happen to them? ...Uh, probably haven't.
Which leads me to the whole point of this entry. btw, I'm not trying to gloat or gush about how shitty my luck can be, is, most of the time, just wanted to share how cool I thought this was. Ok, so, anyway, I was in Walmart, which you know by now if you were paying attention :-P, to go find some smootie pouch thing (but that irrelevant). So, needless to say I found what I was looking for and (fast forward) got into my car to leave. This is were my so called luck comes into play, my car would not start, it would not frickin start! *ahem* i was sitting there thinking 'well, this sucks major ones'. 'Why didn't you call someone?' you may ask, I did, they didn't answer, probably alseep. So I saw this guy two spots down on the other side in front of me and asked if he had any jumper cables. Thank goodness he did, so he pulled a spot closer which, thankfully was empty. Here's the cool part to me, the car in front of me only half pulled into the space so I had to put the car in neutral and push it forward and it was just enough space for the cables to reach. And obviously the car started because I wouldn't be here writing this blog otherwise. :-P

You're probably thinking 'we've all had car trouble, so what?' and in reply I would like to say I've never had car trouble that didn't involve calling the national guard, so this was very relieving to have it go so smoothly. So now you've heard a (halfway) good story that came from Walmart. If you've heard any others I'd love to read about them.

So, it's been awhile. How are things going. Good I hope. I thought today I'd share something that I came across and thought might get a few giggles (I got a laugh out of at least.). So here it is (sorry about the blurriness):

(you're key to acing the SAT, ACT, GED, and SSAT through Stephanie Meyer's Twilight saga.)

Cliff notes can be funny. Don't judge, they come in handy when you're in a pinch. Besides it takes me forever to read something. Now that I've imparted this little tidbit of funniness I will see you later.

Omg...Wtf...I'm not Lol-ing

Omg, this girl can belt it. Cannot believe she's only 10.
I feel like I'm not good at anything now. :-( What are they putting in these kids' lunchboxes these days?

The truth and nothing but the truth

So, it's yet again proven to be another sleepless night for me. Read through some blogs to see if that would make me sleepy (didn't work btw) and came across a list of 30 truths you're suppose to say about yourself. (Yeah, I totally stole this from you Christina. Sue me later. :-P) Being as impatient as I am I'm just going to answer them all in one shot, 'cuz I can and I'm bored like that. :-P

(1) Something you hate about yourself.
My smile. I look like a friggin' rabbit when I try to smile or it looks like I'm being fake.

(2) Something you love about yourself.
My eyes.

(3) Something you have to forgive yourself for.
a lot of stupid stuff that need not be listed here

(4) Something you have to forgive someone for.
Somebody who was rude to me this past weekend. There's only so many times you can ask God to forgive somebody for what they've done to you before you get tired of it. Some people never change even though they try to act like they have.

(5) Something you hope to do in your life.
Find an awesome job as a graphic design/photographer or both, we'll see.

(6) Something you hope you never have to do.
go to my parent's funeral

(7) Someone who has made your life worth living for.
family, friends; it wouldn't be fair to list just a few names.

(8) Someone who made your life hell, or treated you like shit.
Ha! The person I mentioned in #4.

(9) Someone you didn’t want to let go, but just drifted.
a few people actually, but that's life, it sucks.

(10) Someone you need to let go, or wish you didn’t know.
no one I can think of at the moment.

(11) Something people seem to compliment you the most on.
my hair, don't know why b/c it's a frizz ball right now on account of the rainy, humid weather
or here's another one...my ass, I actually hate this compliment. lol. (while you're looking down that way you can kiss it, ha! lol)

(12) Something you never get compliments on.
idk, my hands? no, that sounds so wrong..... I guess my skin, it's too darn light.

(13) A band or artist that has gotten you through some tough ass days. (write a letter.)
I guess Halestorm or Slipknot, something to help me forget about the day and scream at the top of my lungs like an idiot. lol.(sorry no letter.)

(14) A hero that has let you down. (letter)
Dear Superman,
The inaccurate monstrosity of the past five seasons of Smallville that are suppose to portray you have lead me to think you are boring and that only thing you can do is shoot friggin' lasers from your eyes and have Herculean strength of 1,000,000 car crushers. All I have left of you is an image of Tom Welling in my head, for now that will have to suffice.

(15)Something or someone you couldn’t live without, because you’ve tried living without it.
I would say my phone, but I went three months w/o it and am still alive and well. Same goes for money (not three months though). Clothes on my back, I am NOT going to go around like the greased up guy off of Family Guy.

(16) Someone or something you definitely could live without.
Just mentioned two. TV, it's not really a necessity, besides I'm too damn busy to think about watching TV this semester.

(17) A book you’ve read that changed your views on something.
Breaking Dawn, it made me believe that Meyers is a money whore.

(18) Your views on gay marriage.
From a religious stand point I don't go for it, but people gonna do what they're gonna do.

(19) What do you think of religion? Or what do you think of politics?
politics suck!!

(20)views on drugs and alcohol.
no for drugs, alcohol only in moderate and no Yeager bombs!

(21) Your best friend is in a car accident and you two got into a fight an hour before. What do you do?
thankfully that didn't happen, but I would have felt like shit and go to the hospital when/if anybody let me know to see if they were ok and stay to see what I could do if they still wanted me around at the time.

(22) Something you wish you hadn’t done in your life.
gotten into a wreck, but that was a cause of an f-ed up light and the inability of people not wanting to use their brake pedal. (the light was fixed after all of that, go figure.)

(23) Something you wish you had done in your life.
Followed the red brick road to see where it lead, that still bugs me. Were does that stinkin' road lead??

(24) Make a playlist to someone, and explain why you chose all the songs. (Just post the titles and artists and letter)
I'm not good at the playlist thing (skip)

(25) The reason you believe you’re still alive today.
Even though I can't see them somebody was looking over me.

(26) Have you ever thought about giving up on life? If so, when and why?
yeah, it was middle and early high school, who didn't?

(27) What’s the best thing going for you right now?
Got a job to pay for all of my photography stuff. That was the one class I was dreading/wanting to take b/c of the cost of everything. Prayers were answered.

(28) What if you were pregnant or got someone pregnant, what would you do?
Well I'm not 16-18 so the age thing doesn't bother me it's the school I would be missing that would be the problem. I would probably take a semester off to get a full-time job to get enough money, drag the father's ass over this way which I don't think would be such a problem now as it was a year ago, have him find a job to help with rent. Buy a crib, bottles, baby clothes, possibly get WIC for baby formula, and try get to get plenty of rest in between all of this b/c I probably won't get any after the baby gets here. Then again, you can't rally plan something like this down to the last detail you usually have to learn as you go.

(29) Something you hope to change about yourself. And why.
Try to talk to people more even though I really don't know what to say half the time.

(30) A letter to yourself, tell yourself EVERYTHING you love about yourself.
Dear Me,
I don't hate you. That should cover everything.

Some of these answers would sound better actually hearing me say them than have me type them out because you can never see my expressions. So , yeah, I turned A thirty day truths questionnaire thingy about muah into a five to ten minute read. Don't know how interesting it was, but maybe this will help to understand me a little bit better if you didn't already.

Boredom..I haz it

So yeah, the title says it all. Other than the almost disaster of a day I am now completely bored sitting in front of a computer at 3:00 a.m. typing up a blog entry. Oh yeah, it's been awesomeness. But you know you're really bored when you think about chopping your hair off and find some website with a hairstyle changer on it that you can put on a picture you upload. What? You thought I was going to say I cut it myself? lol.

I came across some hideous hairstyles and some half decent ones. But for rizzle I am seriously thinking about changing up the 'do a little, or in my case a lot, now. But here are some pics that I thought were worthy of being possibilities.....

I know, scary as a blonde, but there's only so much that little program thing could do and making this into a believable brunette was not one of those things.

And another:

The Jessica Biel. I really liked this one.

And for your viewing pleasure (or not) the Lady Gaga....

Walk, walk, fashion baby........Oh yeah, I went there. lol! What has been seen can not go unseen. Ha ha.

But now you see what boredom does to me. I was thinking as I was typing that last sentence if I should do more entries using that hair thing, only with pictures of the 'models' that they give you and have fun with the somewhat decent photo'chopping' program I have. Tell me what you think about that, sound like a good idea? idk, it was just a thought. Ok it's 4:00 a.m now so I guess I'm going to try to get some sleep and not be so bored. Wish me luck! lol.

It's all gumdrops and rainbows.

Ok, so a lot has happened this week. I started my new job, yay. But I came across a few things that prompted me to want to write an entry, which I haven't done in a long time. And, no, that last one doesn't really count. lol.

So I came across this article yesterday and I almost wanted to jump through my monitor and slap some sense into somebody. So, yeah, you can go here to read about it. To sum up why it ticks me off, if you don't feel like reading it, the girl changed her hair color from blonde to a dark brown and lost her crown in a pageant. I could understand if she got knocked up or something, but it's just hair dye. If that's not f-ed up I don't know what is. I mean really, wtf people?!?! Another that gets me is how these people in charge of a pageant make the contestant out to be the most horrible person ever just because they were standing up for themselves. Aaagggghhhh!!!!

*Ahem* Excuse me... moving on.

On another completely differently subject altogether, I ran across this video about a baby I thought was kind of neat. Go here if you wanna watch. But, yeah, it's kinda awesome that the grandmother sort of knew that was going to happen. Too bad the ounces didn't turn out just as cool, almost but no cigar. You definitely need to watch.

That made my day, and also Tiger Woods missing the easiest putt in the world. Idiot.

Failure. You haz it.

See y'all on the flip side or whenever another topic strikes me as blog worthy.

BLAH!!

That is all.

Hey You Guuuyyyssss!!......

So....hey what is up everybody?? Long time no post, right? Now I finally have one up so everyone can just chill. Which I am doing at the moment and it feels awesome. Ahh..the joys of a working air conditioner at 2:30 am.

At this point you may be wondering 'What the heck are you doing up at 2:30 in the frickin' morning?'. Well, that's because I read up on this myth called sleep and apparently it's when you close your eyes and your brain finally shuts off long enough for you to drift into the a land full of sweets and joy and joyness (refer to Garfield above). But oh no, my brain is being a pain in my @$$ and won't shut the *expletive* up!

That may be due to Firefox and Facebook being slow too. Stupid apps took foooorrrrreeevvveeeerrrr to load. So what if I'm one of those farm idiots you hear so much about (don't judge me!). So sue me. Than again please don't, I'm broke.

Yeahhh... that's pretty much the main reason I'm up right now and it's going to take forever for me too even attempt to fall asleep. And now I'm gonna look like this when I wake up:

That's just scary. Thank you Facebook.

I'm going to attempt this myth called sleep. Hopefully I won't wake up feeling like P. Diddy.

The Light Side of the Moon

I'm happy today. I just saw where a have one new follower. (hey new follower! *waves*) But on a more serious note I was thinking "Wow, my 'about me' says I'm a visual arts major but I've never put anything up to actually prove that." So (tada!), you guessed it, I'm going to show you the world of Anna's artwork, at least a taste of it.

~Most of the pieces you are about to see are from about a year ago to now.~

These are just two of the many drawings I have along with my sucky painting (not that great with paint):

The log that caused me to sweat to death and to have massive mosquito bites. Oh, did I forget to mention the professor gave the class almost a month to finish this project and regardless if you were finished you had to stay out there in the middle of the woods too? I didn't? Oh well, wasn't that important anyway. lol.

I had to draw this completely in the dark with little light because for some reason the same professor I mentioned above thought it amusing to watch us suffer.

Same professor here too, different class, same semester. What was I thinking? But yeah, he had a thing for these blue Christmas balls and a bust of a head. (Insert dirty joke here.) lol. Didn't really learn how to paint nor did I to begin with.

These are from printmaking:

This is from a project that I'm turning in tomorrow. So you all get the first glimpse.

From my previous project and a class favorite so I thought it to be novel idea to show all of you.

This is one of my favorite prints.

These pieces I did this past semester for my ceramics class. Stupid clay, of which most of the time did not agree with me and do what I told it to do. So what if I talk to chunks of clay? Don't judge me!! Anyway, here they are:

Yes this is clay, and no you cannot have a bite.

My whimsical pinch pot.

The angel I had to redo two times before she decided not to fall over and break into pieces. And yes, what you see is hours upon hours of piecing stuff back together, a lot of epoxy glue that will make you high, and tears of aggravation. Which in the end was worth it.

My coil pot that was suppose to be a 'white' flower with blue petals. Stupid glaze!

So my photography stuff was getting jealous...:

B&W photo with just the red nail polish showing.

Two different pictures morphed together with other objects added.

Good ol' Chester. :-)

Both from the same location. See the rail at the end of the path?

(There are more but didn't want to slow people's computers down by massive picture overload.)

The crafty stuff:

My first ever tapestry.

Tom & Jerry

Part of my Athena costume. (helmet, shield, mask, and spear)

Me representing my tie dye. *In west Philadelphia born and raised, in the playground where I spent most of my days...* (You can thank my roommate for getting that song stuck in my head.)

My favorite tie dye shirt with a hippie skirt.

I hope y'all enjoyed seeing what I do. Yeah, yeah, I know the picture quality was suckish on most of these. I'm a starving artist that can't afford these fancy picture taking machines. lol. That's what trusty little camera phones are for. :-) But anyway, I hope the trip to Anna's art world was interesting. See y'all peeps later!

To all the young whimper snappers....

I know it's been a little while since I've posted anything, but I had to go on hiatus because life was getting a little hectic for a minute. But now I am back with a new list. I am seriously contemplating renaming this blog 'List of 28 Things...and a Squirrel's Not One'. lol. Yeah... just a thought.

Moving onward.... So I was sitting and watching tv one day when this 'List of Things That Make Me Feel Old' beat its way into my head with a Pixy Stix (see also Things to do/not do in a horror senario.)

1. Tv shows - A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, Alvin and the Chipmunks (cartoon version), the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Step By Step, Family, Matters, Boy Meets World just to name a few.

(Aww....brings back memories. Wait...what? Not those types of memories you perve! lol.)

2. Shoelace buckles, as I like to call them, or clips.

(Not the exact ones I'm talking about but you get the gist.)

3. When extremely loud bass music starts to get on your nerves.

(^ Am I right? lol.)

4. The 90's SNL cast : Nealon, Sandler, Farley, Myers, Spade, etc.

(when SNL was actually good.)

5. Music - Hanson, Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, N*Sync, Britney Spears(before she went crazy) , Cake, Nirvana, etc.

(Mmm Bop is now stuck in your head... you're welcome. :-) )

6. I Spy books

(Admit it, you liked them.)

7. When girls could never have too many hair clips and almost every one of them had a butterfly clip.

(the sad thing is I still have mine.)

8. Movies - the Little Mermaid, the Lion King, Aladdin, etc.

(A time when we all believed in prince charming.)

9. The original gaming systems like the NES, Sega Genisis, Super NES

(The reason most of us have lung issues.)

10. When Windows 95 was thought to be awesome.

(A time when the most monitors got smashed.)

11. I conjunction with #10, When 3.5 Floppy disks were the shizz.

(It's not the size that matters, it's how you use it.)

12. Barbie actually looked descent and not like a 16 old hooker and Skipper was still around.

(Ho-ishness not included.)

13. The only way to get in touch with someone was by landline phone, drive to see them, or mail.

(Ring, ring, ....Hello...)

14. Tales From the Crypt. I know this should've gone under tv shows, but I thought it deserved a listing by itself.

(I don't think that's Maybelline, he's just born with it.)

15. Cassette tapes and VHS

(The original pirating. Arrrg....)

So, this was just part one of what I am going to dub 'Nostalgia List' for short. I know some of the things on here may not seem that old, but they are to me so bug off!! ...I'm sorry baby I love you! lol. Anyway, I hope everybody has felt as old as I have reading this. If anyone has any ideas that they want to give me for pt. 2 leave a comment and I'll see about adding it. 'Til next time I bid you 'Adieu'.

So Glad To Make Your Acquaintance

I guess the weight of curiosity got the better of me today. I finally gave in to the celebrity doppelganger trend on facebook. For those who don't know it's when you post a profile picture of the celebrity you look the most like. There's this little site called myheritage.com that has a celebrity collage of your look alikes.

These were my closest matches according to the site:

1. Holly Marie Combs - 80%

2. Kate Beckinsale - 78%

3. Norkys Batista - 76%

4. Amy Weber - 76%

5. Blake Lively - 75%

6. Anna Paquin - 74%

7. Sandra Bullock - 74%

8. Summer Altice - 72%

9. Gisele Bündchen - 72%

10. Gillian Anderson -72%

Here's my photo that everything was compared to:

I didn't think I was going to be compared to all of these women. I'm not that hot. lol. Oh well, a morale booster every now and again doesn't hurt.
